Super Kale Smoothie – The healthiest smoothie that will kick start any day. Made with kale, celery and almond milk. This smoothie is vegan and gluten-free.
We all have those days where we feel lazy, lethargic and simply demotivated. But when you start your day right it tends to help. So I have been trying to get everyday started the right way. Instead of hitting the gym later in the afternoon or in the evening, I’m trying to go early in mornings. I also start my day with a healthy breakfast like a Vanilla Blueberry Chia Pudding or some yummy Quinoa Porridge. Starting right seems to really help keep the rest of the day on track. One of the new things I am trying is to include this Super Kale Smoothie in my breakfast.
I know it looks a little scary and seriously green (but how cute are those straws right?) but it is actually incredibly delicious. Like seriously, I’m not just saying it. I always a little scared of the something this green, but I can tell you from first hand experience that it really is a yummy smoothie. And you feel super powered up afterwards, you won’t feel like binging on fatty foods after this. It will keep you on track all day.
The addition of a little maple syrup or honey really gives it just a little sweetness. I also make it with some almond milk because well it’s darn delicious and I have been trying to stay away from dairy a little because we just aren’t friends at the moment. So this Super Kale Smoothie is incredibly easy to make, chuck all the ingredients into you blender and get blending! You can even place all the ingredients into little ziplock bags and freeze them and then every morning simply place all the frozen ingredients into you blender and bam! That’s what you call being healthy and super prepared am I right?
