WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE THIS CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL
This easy champagne and grapefruit cocktail recipe only needs five simple ingredients to make it! These ingredients come together to make the most flavourful and perfect celebration drink. The delicious combination of thyme and grapefruit is an absolute winner. And it isn't incredibly sweet, which is something I love too.
Ingredients Needed:
- Grapefruit juice - freshly squeezed juice is always best, but any kind will work.
- Fresh thyme - adds delicious flavor and a few sprigs as garnish is oh-so pretty.
- Granulated sugar - this amount can be adapted if you prefer a sweeter cocktail.
- Champagne - preferably chilled, but any kind will work for this spritzer.
- Ice cubes - to chill the cocktail and keep it extra refreshing.
WHAT CHAMPAGNE SHOULD I USE FOR CHAMPAGNE COCKTAILS?
There are many different types of champagne cocktail recipes available and each will have its own specific requirements. For example, pink champagne cocktails will probably use very different champagne to a classic champagne cocktail. For this Grapefruit Champagne Cocktail, dry, white champagne works best – but this can be substituted for a different variety if preferred.
Can I use non-alcoholic champagne for this cocktail? (Mocktail)
I have used non-alcoholic champagne or sparkling wine to transform this recipe into a non-alcoholic mocktail and it worked perfectly! This recipe is a great mocktail option as it is still a delicious drink full of flavor and bubbles.
