This granola may taste like dessert but it is actually nutritious! Granola can be a very healthy breakfast option depending on the recipe and the portion eaten. This granola recipe uses fresh bananas which are a great source of potassium and vitamin C.
The nuts and seeds are a great source of healthy fats and protein. The oats and oat flour add a lot of healthy fibre to this recipe. Coconut oil is a healthy oil option and provides a lot of health benefits when used sparingly, such as in this recipe.
How To Make & Store Homemade Granola
It is so easy to make granola at home! All you need to do is mix the wet ingredients together and then combine that with the dry ingredients. Make sure everything is mixed and coated well!
This granola mix then gets baked on a lined baking tray. I recommend mixing it halfway through the baking time to ensure it all gets evenly golden brown.
Once the Banana Bread Granola has completely cooled, transfer it to an airtight container. It can then be stored in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks.
This yummy granola breakfast can be enjoyed with cold milk or yoghurt or sprinkled on top of a smoothie. Try adding some fresh fruit, chocolate chips, or coconut flakes too! Yummmm!
