I really love the idea of chia pudding! It tastes like eating dessert for breakfast and you can make any flavor you want. Plus it is super easy to prepare. This mixed berry chia pudding is one of my favorites, especially in months when fresh fruit isn't available, since it works great with frozen berries.
I feel like I could write a book about chia puddings. I have become somewhat of an expert on the subject and I say this because I have made and eaten all kinds of chia puddings. From blueberry to matcha and even peanut butter. Whatever flavor of chia pudding there is out there, I have found it and made it and most importantly, eaten it! This chia pudding recipe is one that I love to make again and again.
Two of the most popular recipes on my site are my vanilla blueberry chia pudding and this delicious coconut cream chia pudding. You simply must try them both!

Ingredient Notes
This incredibly delicious recipe is made with just four simple ingredients:
- Mixed berries - Use your favorite combination of berries. Since fresh berries are out of season right now, I've used a combination of frozen raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. I like to mix a few into the milk as well as adding more to the top. Can you have too many berries? :)
- Chia Seeds - Chia seeds are a magical ingredient that gel up into an amazing pudding texture when soaked. They're also high in fiber and protein, making this a terrific filling breakfast or snack.
- Milk - Any type of milk will work here. If you're dairy free, use your favorite non-dairy milk.
- Maple Syrup - Just a little to add some sweetness to this treat. If you don't have maple syrup on hand, you can substitute with honey or agave.
How to Make Berry Chia Pudding
- STEP 1: Add half of the berries to a small bowl. Break them into smaller pieces.
- STEP 2: Combine the chia seeds, milk and maple syrup with the fruit in the bowl and mix it well.
- STEP 3: Divide the mixture into two jars or glasses and store in the refrigerator overnight. Top with the remaining mixed berries before serving.
