Healthy Vegan Berry Frozen Yoghurt - A healthy and delicious recipe that takes less than 10min to make.
Apparently it is Frozen Yoghurt Day on the 6th of Feb. Who knew? Anyway, I'm not complaining, a whole day dedicated to frozen yoghurt! Now that's what I'm talking about! So what do we do on Frozen Yoghurt Day? We make Healthy Vegan Berry Frozen Yoghurt of course!! Come check it out on Instagram as well. 😉
Frozen yoghurt is one of those things that remind me of my childhood, every Friday after school my mom would pick my sister and I up from school and we get some delicious frozen yoghurt from a little local place. As a child, this was literally one of those things I would look forward to the whole week. It marked the end of the week and the beginning of fun time! Haha. Back then there was only one flavour that existed to me. English Toffee! Mmmm... Yum! Every week I would look at the menu and all the new flavours they had to offer, but I just could not get myself to order anything else. Till this day it is my favourite flavour. I'm not sure what it is about English Toffee, I think it is the mixture of the sweet from the toffee flavour and the sourness from the yoghurt... it just works so well together!
Unfortunately as we get older we can't be pigging out on frozen yoghurt everyday, especially because the frozen yoghurts you buy these days are really not as healthy as they claim to be. LUCKILY, this fantastic Healthy Vegan Berry Frozen Yoghurt has come to our rescue! It takes a matter of 5min to whip it up, it is crazy delicious, packed with antioxidants, low in fat and vegan! Now THIS we can pig out on everyday...guilt free! 😉 It really is a delicious healthy dessert or snack. It pretty much consists of Berries, Honey/Agave Nectar, Coconut Yoghurt, Lemon juice and water. Now what's unhealthy about any of those things? So all I'm saying is that you should probably go make this right now ;).
The coconut yoghurt can be substituted with coconut cream/milk or simply normal yoghurt if you aren't vegan.
