Homemade Coconut Yoghurt

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ Cans Coconut Milk.
  • 1 teaspoon Agar Agar.
  • 3 tablespoon Xylitol or maple Syrup.
  • 4 Probiotic Capsules.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence.

Instructions 

  • Sterilise Jars by placing them in the dishwasher or by placing them in the oven at 120ºC.
  • Pour coconut milk into a medium sized pot and stir until smooth.
  • Sprinkle the agar agar over the coconut milk and place the pot on the stove over medium heat.
  • Allow the milk to simmer.
  • When the milk begins to simmer, turn the heat down to low and gently whisk the milk until the agar agar has mixed in completely.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool till room temperature.
  • When cooled, add the probiotics, vanilla and xylitol and stir until completely mixed in.
  • Pour mixture into jars and close properly.
  • Place jars in the oven with only the oven light on and leave it there over night (at least 12 hours).
  • Remove from oven and place in the fridge for another 12 hours.
  • Enjoy and store in jars in the fridge for at least a week.
