Equipment

  • 1 Highball serving glass

Ingredients

  • 40 ml whiskey
  • 25 ml triple sec
  • 25 ml lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 80 ml lemon lime soda

Instructions

  • Pour the whiskey, triple sec, and lemon juice into a high-ball serving glass and add ice.
  • Top with lemon-lime soda and gently mix together.
  • Add an optional garnish, such as a lemon slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • This mixed drink is best enjoyed as soon as it is made as it will lose some of its carbonation over time. So it is best to serve this drink soon after making it.
  • If you like a boozier drink feel free to add additional whiskey to your lemonade.
  • You can serve this drink with crushed ice or whole ice. Just keep in mind that as the ice melts it will start to slightly dilute the drink.
  • Use a jigger or a measuring cup to measure your ingredients accurately. A precise measurement can make a big difference in the balance and flavor of your cocktail.

    Pitcher Variation

It is easy to make and serve this cocktail in a pitcher when catering to a crowd. To do so, add the whiskey, triple sec, and lemon juice to a large pitcher according to how many servings you desire. Simply scale the amounts of each ingredient up proportionally to make the amount you need.
Fill the pitcher with lemon-lime soda and gently stir. Serve immediately over ice. You can add lemon slices to the pitcher, or alternatively, you can garnish each individual drink as desired.
