Classic Thermomix Mashed Potatoes

These tasty mashed potatoes are versatile & customisable & they are deliciously smooth and creamy.

Easy Thermomix Side Dish! 

Mashed potatoes are a classic side dish that everybody loves. And how better to make them than with the quick and easy Thermomix!

– 750g potatoes that are suited for mashing (see post) – 250ml milk – Seasoning to taste – 15g butter (optional)

INGREDIENTS  YOU WILL NEED:

Peel and cut the potatoes into 1 - 2cm cubes. Cutting the potato into roughly the same size pieces will ensure they cook evenly.

HOW TO MAKE THERMOMIX MASHED POTATOES

Place the prepared potatoes directly into the Thermomix mixing bowl. Add the salt and milk and cook for 20 - 25 minutes/100°/reverse/speed 1. The potatoes should be tender and breaking apart.

Once the potatoes are soft and cooked, add the butter (and any other optional additions) if you are including any). Then insert the butterfly whisk and mix for 10 - 15 seconds/speed 3.

HOW TO MAKE THERMOMIX MASHED POTATOES

The classic Thermomix mashed potatoes are then ready to be served or you can place them in the thermo-server for 10 minutes first to thicken up.
