The last couple of weeks have been absolute madness. I have been working on various projects and trying to get to the gym everyday etc etc… So I have been wearing myself out a little and today I had simply run out of energy. I went to the gym early this morning, and when I got back I felt like I had been running a marathon for 10 hours. So in order to give myself a little boost, thus this Super Green Smoothie.
By now everyone has seen and experienced my love for smoothies. I’ve made a few healthy dessert smoothies like the Carrot Cake Smoothie and the Healthy Blueberry Muffin Smoothie and on Sunday I made one of my all time favourite smoothies, the Berry Booster Smoothie. But today I seriously needed a health kick. This amazing Super Green Smoothie is packed with energy boosting ingredients. I made it using spinach, which as Popeye has taught us, is incredibly good for you. I added a little celery, some Chia seeds for a fibre and protein boost and ginger, which has incredible health benefits in a variety of ways.
As usual I made this super smoothie with my NutriBullet, because I literally just have to chuck all the ingredients into the cup and I’ll have a smoothie in under 2min. It seems to whizz up all the ingredients so quickly…each time I am utterly amazed by it.
This Super Green Smoothie is my go to smoothie on days like today when I am simply exhausted. But I often make it after a rough weekend or even as an everyday morning health kick. It gives you all the nutrients you need and it REALLY does taste delicious. Because lets face it, most of us don’t enjoy eating spinach. So this way you get all the good stuff from spinach without any of the bad taste.
