Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton – A an absoloutely magical weekend with the most delicious food.
Last weekend I got absoloutely spoilt rotten. Oh my goodness! Emmanuel and I spent the weekend at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton. From the moment we walked into the hotel, we felt like royalty. We were welcomed by a delicious cheese and fruit basket and a bottle of champagne. Sounds like heaven already doesn’t it?
We then went up to the Business Lounge to get a little work done. This place is amazing, it looks over the entire Johannesburg, and there is coffee and snacks available at all time. Anyone who knows me, knows that if there is coffee and sweet treats, I am there in a flash. So with a permanent snack station, it can be very difficult to get rid of me ;).
While the food is amazing and the beds are heavenly. The best part about the Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton is the fact that you can pretty much be anywhere in the hotel and you will have an absoloutely gorgeous view of Johannesburg. We spent an hour simply staring out of the window watching the sunset over Joburg. It was magical.
After the sun had set, we went downstairs for dinner at Vivace Restaurant. Oh my goodness, I could barely walk after dinner because I was so incredibly stuffed. But it was worth every bite. We were welcomed with a delicious bottle of red wine. Then it was time for starters, I had the most delicious Salmon topped with a beautiful citrus jus. Main course was so beautiful and even more delicious than it looked. Everything was perfectly presented and tasted so delicate and for a lack of a better word, YUMMY! Dessert!! I have no words, it was pure scrumptious dessert heaven. I wish I could stay there and eat dessert all day, everyday. 😉 I wish I could’ve taken better photos of the food so that you guys can “taste” it for yourselves!
My favourite part of the Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton is most definitely the pool area. It is so beautiful and relaxing. I love the fact that you can relax and feel like your on a tropical island while your in the middle of the city. I can’t describe it to you in words but it is an absolute dream.
We then ended our stay off with one of my favourite things. Room service for BREAKFAST. Everyone knows breakfast is my favourite meal of the day (other than dessert of course), and man was this a breakfast. We had everything from fresh fruit, to croissants, bacon and Nespresso. Pure breakfast bliss.
