Kale Pineapple Smoothie – A super smoothie packed with amazing health benefits and still tastes delicious. Whip it up in seconds.
We have all heard about this Kale trend that’s been going around for quite some time. Nowadays there’s Kale in pretty much everything, kale salads, kale chips, kale kale kale… And while most of the time I’m not super into these food trends, because it seems like each time there’s a new “miracle” food that’s going to cure all your problems, 2 years down the line suddenly “they” say this food is the cause of all your problems. So who know’s what we are meant to believe or eat… My belief is eat what feels right to you, don’t over indulge in the good or the bad stuff.
With that being said… Kale is pretty awesome!! Apparently it is the most nutrient dense food known to man. That seems pretty darn impressive doesn’t it. I don’t like torturing myself when it comes to eating healthy foods, I normally end up eating only the delicious fruits and veggies OR I find ways to incorporate it into my meals without really having to just eat it straight up. Kale isn’t the worst tasting veggie, but to be honest I’m not the biggest fan of how it tastes. But add in a little honey, pineapple and yoghurt and suddenly Kale is the best thing you have ever tasted.
This Kale Pineapple Smoothie is the perfect start to any and every day because it gives you that boost that we all often need. It takes only a few minutes to make and is also pretty filling. You can make this smoothie 2 ways, either the normal way or you can make it a dairy-free/vegan version. To do this all you have to do is swop out the milk for almond milk and instead of using greek yoghurt, add in some of your very own Homemade Coconut Yoghurt (I love having a jar of this stuff in my fridge at all times). Simply chuck all the ingredients for the Kale Pineapple Smoothie into your Nutri Bullet or any other blender, blend and drink. And that’s it folks. 😉
