4 Places To Promote Your Blog Posts To Boost Blog Traffic –The best places to share each blog post to drive massive amounts of traffic to your blog today.
So you have started your blog, set it all up and have it up and running. You have also made your blog all pretty and looking good! But how do you get people to read it?
There are so many things that you can do. My top piece of advice is always to work on your Pinterest. But other than that where can you share your blog posts? Well, I have compiled a list of a couple of places that are great for sharing your blog posts. Many of them I use on a daily basis.
I think this one often gets ignored by bloggers because it is almost a little frustrating. Most of the time you can barely see any traffic coming in from StumbleUpon. But trust me, when your blog post takes off on StumbleUpon it goes crazy. I have had a couple of posts that have gone “viral”on stumbleupon and it brought in thousands of extra views. At first I couldn’t quite figure out why that post had taken off or what I had done differently. But then I realized that stumbleupon needs to be treated just like any other social media. You can’t just share your own content and hope it takes off. You need to use the 80/20 rule here again and make sure that most of what you share is the content of others and then share your own. Another thing is to make sure you have a catchy title that will make people want to stumble your post and click through to it.
So my biggest mistake with Baking-Ginger was that I didn’t have an email list for probably a year. Mostly because I felt it was too complicated to figure out and also because I wasn’t getting tons of traffic so I didn’t really see the reason. But building up an email list even if it is one subscriber at a time is so important. Because those people are the people that WANT to read every blog post that you share. They are the loyal ones and they will be the ones sharing your posts. The aim would be to have so many subscribers that you would barely have to do any marketing for your blog. You would have people coming straight to your blog every time you send out a newsletter with your latest blog. Sounds amazing right? So set up your email list now!! And then use that list to send out newsletters to promote your blog posts when they come out.
This one is my favourite!! Because guys, Pinterest is amazing!!! But I won’t spend all my time going on a bout that. If you want to read more about why it is so awesome head over…here! Okay, so group boards are awesome! They are really the one thing that brought in initial serious traffic to Baking-Ginger. I didn’t need a million Pinterest followers to get repins, I just needed to belong to some awesome group boards. Who would’ve thought! So in order to promote your posts, join a couple of group boards that fall in your niche. You can use Pingroupie to find group boards. And then every time you post a blog post, then pin it to the relevant group board. It is amazing how many people will repin your pin. So awesome. Even better, use Tailwind to schedule your pin to the optimal time to all your group boards.
Instagram is the shizz nizz. I know Instagram seems like an obvious one because it is social media. But with Facebook really not doing much for bloggers these days. It has become increasingly important to focus on other social medias. And my favourite social media is Instagram. I loved it so much I wrote an entire post about it ;). Every time you post a blog post, add the link to your Instagram bio and make a post about it and tell people that they can simply click the link in your bio to read all about it. You will be surprised how many people will click that link. That is because the people who follow you are people that are in your niche and are truly interested in what you have to offer. SO never forget about it. I always make an Instagram post about my blog post as soon as I publish the post.
